Windstream.com is web based media center. Containing just about everything you might want or need in a day for your entertainment purposes like T.V. movie and news services, it is also possible to set up a Windstream e-mail account so that all your online activities can be consolidated into one easy to use service. After purchasing services with Windstream, you will be supplied a Windstream email login address that you will be able to access from multiple platforms.
To set up the email service for Windstream, it is as easy as using your operating systems onboard email client, such as Outlook or the mail client for Mac computers.
For each client, we will illustrate in individual steps that must be taken to set up the email service with Windstream and get you to your Windstream e-mail login.
Windstream email login: Outlook 2010 Edition
Open Outlook and click on the orange “file” tab at the top left-hand corner of the screen. GO to the “info” tab and select account settings from the drop-down menu. When account settings pops up, make sure the “E-Mail” tab is selected and press “New”.
The add new account service should prompt you to make a few decisions. Select Manual Setup at the bottom of the page. Press next and choose Internet Service, press next again and enter the following values:
Incoming Server (POP): mail.windstreamhosting.com : Port 110
Incoming Server (IMAP): mail.windstreamhosting.com : Port 143
Outgoing Server (SMTP): mail.windstreamhosting.com : Port 25 or 1025
Username: Enter Your E-mail address
Click on the more settings tab and select the outgoing server tab. Once selected, check the box that says “My outgoing server requires authentication” and select “Use same settings as my incoming email server.
Click the “Advanced” tab and make sure that the setting match these values:
Incoming Server: Port 110
Outgoing Server: Port 20 or 1025
Press OK and Finish. And that’s all there is to it for Outlook 2010.
Windstream email login: Outlook Express
Open Outlook Express. When active, select the “Tools” drop down menu and select “Accounts”.
In the internet accounts menu, with the “all” tab selected, click the “add” button and select the “mail” option.
In the “display name” field, enter your name.
In the “E-Mail address section, type your Windstream.net email address and click “next”.
Next, in the Internet Connection Wizard, you must enter the Incoming and Outgoing Servers.
Incoming (POP3): pop.windstream.net
Outgoing (SMTP): smtp.windstream.net
Fill out those fields and select “next”.
In the “Account name” section, enter your full email address and password. Tell outlook to remember password and click next.
The next page should pop up, click Finish and you are done setting up your e-mail for Windstream on Outlook Express.
Windstream email login: MAC MAIL 10.5
Click on the Mail icon and open Mac Mail. Click the “Mail” tab and on the drop-down list, select preferences.
Click on the “accounts” icon in “mail preferences” and select the “+” button.
Fill in the fields that ask for your information, like email, name and password, and select “continue”.
On the following page, Mac Mail should ask you to enter Server Settings. Fill out these fields as follows:
Account Type: POP
Incoming Mail Server: pop.windstream.net
User Name: Enter Yours
Password: Enter Your Password
Mac Mail will then test the connection to the mail server using your username and password.
You will now have to enter more server settings for the Outgoing Mail Server:

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.windstream.net
Enter your username and password and put a check mark next to “Use Authentication” and click “Continue”.
Mac Mail will test the server connection again in this next step. Click the “Create” tab when it finishes and your account should be ready to use on Mac Mail 10.5.
Windstream email login: Windstream Site
If you need to access your email on the Windstream.com web page it is as simple as clicking the “email” icon on the home page. Once you have entered your username and password, select “Login” to access your account.
Forget Your Email Address or Password?
From the Windstream homepage, click the Icon that looks like a gear, or a wheel with spokes, and click on the “Account Management” Tab from the drop-down list.
You will be redirected to the Windstream email login page where there will be fields for you to fill out. These include your username and password. Below these field are the options “Forget your password?” and “Forget your username?”. Simply select one of the following options and follow the instructions on the screen to resolve your issues immediately.
